Anti-selfdual Connections On The Quantum Projective Plane: Instantons

We study one-instantons, that is anti-selfdual connections with instanton number 1, on the quantum projective plane with orientation which is reversed with respect to the usual one. The orientation is fixed by a suitable choice of a basis element for the rank 1 free bimodule of top forms. The noncommutative family of solutions is foliated, each non-singular leaves being isomorphic to the quantum projective plane itself.Comment: 35 pages, no figures; v2: minor change

Observational Properties of Jets in Active Galactic Nuclei

Parsec scale jet properties are shortly presented and discussed. Observational data are used to derive constraints on the jet velocity and orientation, the presence of velocity structures, and the connection between the pc and kpc scale. Two peculiar sources with limb-brightened jets: 1144+35 and Mkn 501 are discussed in detail.Comment: 13 pages with 7 figures. Purpose: This research aims at examining the effect of market orientation and value creation on business performance of the fertilizer industry in Indonesia. Approach/Methodology/Design: This research used observation using time horizon with cross section one shot in year 2018. Unit of analysis in this research is organic fertilizer company or inorganic with company’s management as the observation unit. The survey was conducted to 35 fertilizer companies in Indonesia. Verification analysis was used to measure quantitative data and hypothesis testing by using PLS (Partial Least Square). Findings: The findings showed that market orientation and value creation had a significant influence in improving business performance in the fertilizer industry in Indonesia. In addition, value creation had a greater role than market orientation in improving business performance.. Practical Implications: The result of this research is expected to give implication for business actor of fertilizer industry in Indonesia as an effort to improve its business performance by increasing value creation supported by increasing market orientation. Originality/Value: The result of this research is expected to give implication for business actor of fertilizer industry in Indonesia as an effort to improve its business performance by increasing value creation supported by increasing market orientation.peer-reviewe

Some Light and Temperature Effects on the Behavior of the Adult Pales Weevil, Hylobius Pales (Coleoptera: Curculionidae)

    Get PDF
Adult pales weevils react to light and temperature cues regarding their movements in pine plantations. They remain at the base of their host trees during the day and move onto the trees after dark. A drop in light intensity to 2 fc triggers this response. Ambient temperature below 10°C curtails their movements. Weevils placed on the ground are photophobic at temperatures below 20°C and photophobic and thermophobic above 35°C. Orientation is erratic above 40°C and heat stupor occurs in a few minutes

Cognitive effects of a cognitive stimulation programme on trained domains in older adults with subjective memory complaints: randomised controlled trial

Age-related subjective memory complaints (SMC) are a common concern among older adults. However, little is known about the effects of cognitive stimulation (CS) interventions on subjective memory complaints. The aim of this study was to analyse the effectiveness of a CS programme on global cognition and cognitive functions of older adults with SMC. A randomised clinical trial was conducted on older adults with SMC, including 308 participants ≥65 years of age assessed 6 and 12 months after the intervention. The assessment instrument was the Spanish version of the Mini-Mental State Examination (MEC-35), and all domains of the instrument were assessed. For statistical analysis, the data were analysed using robust ANOVA with means truncated at 20% utilising a two-way repeated measures model, with between (groups) and within (measurements) factors. In post hoc tests, a Wilcoxon signed-rank test of exact permutations between groups and Bonferroni correction were applied. In post hoc between-group tests, significant differences were found: (1) post-treatment in MEC-35, temporal orientation, short-term memory (STM), global language and praxis, and language and praxis (p ≤ 0.005); (2) at 6 months in MEC-35, global orientation, temporal orientation, and STM (p = 0.005); (3) at 12 months in MEC-35, global orientation, temporal orientation, STM, global language and praxis, and language (p = 0.005). This study shows benefits in global cognition and orientation, temporal orientation, STM, and language in older adults with SMC

Cathodoluminescence measurement of an orientation dependent aluminum concentration in AlxGa1−xAs epilayers grown by molecular beam epitaxy on a nonplanar substrate

    Get PDF
Cathodoluminescence scanning electron microscopy is used to study AlxGa1−x As epilayers grown on a nonplanar substrate by molecular beam epitaxy. Grooves parallel to the [011-bar] direction were etched in an undoped GaAs substrate. Growth on such grooves proceeds on particular facet planes. We find that the aluminum concentration in the epilayers is dependent on the facet orientation, changing by as much as 35% from the value in the unpatterned areas. The transition in the aluminum concentration at a boundary between two facets is observed to be very abrupt
